Even more so worked towards endeavour and its remains.
A key work was Exactly, revolving around notions of confusion. This project was based on a series of interviews questioning confusion; a dialogue that was incised through Charles Dickens’ novel, Great Expectations. Dickens’ narrative and my own were to be read together, each informing and impeding the other. The book was installed upon a cork shelf with a lamp, and viewers invited to read the texts and produce legible shadows of text on the wall. Confusion was co-produced: it was clarified as an abstract notion and shared as a process, and vice versa.
This work was presented amongst a suite
of photographs and drawings of representational and textual processes.
Intellectual adventure was presented
in a series of contrivances.
